Individual Broadcasting Service
Introduction
Occasionally I provide some (live) broadcasting streams from various events I attend. This wiki page is to cover the latest information on my broadcasting projects.
Currently I have two stream codec/server options which are ready for broadcasting:
Theora/Vorbis stream with Icecast2
There's an Icecast2 server running at http://broadcast.keshi.org:8000/ for Theora/Vorbis codec streams.
The VLC meida player is most recommended for watching those streams. It's supported on Unix/Windows/OSX platforms. You can also use GNOME media player (Totem) or Xine in Unix environment.
FLV stream with Red5 (currently in development)
Since May 2008, I've been able to broadcast FLV live streams with Red5 (Open Source Flash Server).
You can watch the stream using common web browsers with the Flash Player plugin. No need for installing any special software.
You can also broadcast your own live streams to the internet just like ustream.tv.
